Paul Ricoeur's philosophical hermeneutics is a way to achieve a greater understanding of the texts. It is one of the ways by which man can regain the sense of the sacred. Its objective is to try to understand the written discourse based on the intention of what is meant. The article presents a development of the origin and meaning of hermeneutics, biblical hermeneutics and the relationship with revelation.
