Abstract

The most important fact that has surprised exegetes since the beginning of the critical reading of the Bible is the silence of the prophets, especially the pre-exilic prophets, regarding the main themes of the Pentateuch.
How can this be explained? This is the objective of this brief investigation that will allow us to reread some important pages of the Old Testament and to witness, so to speak, the birth of the Pentateuch in the company of the great prophets.
