Abstract

The article exposes the various theories applied to biblical translation, assesses their gifts and difficulties. It points out that the translator should not align himself with only one theory and apply it exclusively to the entire translation process, but should seek to use in each case the resources that best suit a particular text. It recognizes the biblical text as a hybrid product, where diverse cultures and diverse historical and social contexts come together, and in which the translation of the Bible that has been offered to the native peoples has produced a cultural change that has deepened the process of textual hybridization. and cultural of those towns.
