The purpose of this work is to analyze the use of the Greek verb proskyne, in some passages of the New Testament. For this, it has been pointed out, first of all, how this verb has been translated into our language in eleven different translations, some ancient and others contemporary. Some samples (from Matthew, Acts and Revelation) were selected from among all these translations for a somewhat detailed analysis. Such analysis has verified that in the translation of this verb -a verb that refers to a gesture of varied polysemy- the context in which it is used has not always been taken into account.
