Abstract

The first nine chapters of the book of Proverbs, very probably included as a “prologue” by the author of the final redaction, alternate teachings to the disciple or disciples and hymns that describe wisdom. Among these “teachings” we find a very special one, in chapter 5, where the disciple is told not only about the dangers of marriage infidelity but about the beauty and joy involved in marriage. The article studies the metaphors with which marriage loved is described in Proverbs 5,15-20.
