Abstract

One of the greatest challenges of the Book of Numbers is understanding
the logic that governs the arrangement of the material from which this fourth Torah
book is made. This article presents an overview of the main structure hypotheses
developed in the past and offers a new proposal to understand the conceptual framework
of the book, focusing the entire narrative of Numbers under the motto of
“teachings of the ‘exodus’ generation to the new generation born in the desert”.
