Abstract

Within the framework of the Inspirationist theory, the article presents the use of theopneustos in extra-biblical texts (Sibylline Oracles, Abraham's Testament and Pseudo-Focylides) and indicates other terms used by the literature of the biblical era to refer to the phenomenon of inspiration: Plato, Aristotle, Greek poets, Flavius Josephus and Philo of Alexandria. The objective of this task is to visualize the conceptual framework in which the theopneustos used in 2 Tim 3:16 is found, taking into account previous or contemporary texts of 2 Timothy.
