The work is the result of a thesis on Qohélet, addressed from the category of gift. In this way, the A. rethinks the image of God and man in Qo, and the relationship between both.

The entrance door to his studio, the gift of God, is for the A. the guide to scrutinize the whole theology of the book. Also pay careful attention to the key concepts of vanity and fatigue, to the task of observing and exploring everything that is done "under and the much-discussed problem of retribution, especially from the Qo's criticism of traditional theory.
