Abstract

The exegesis of Paul's three texts (Gal 1:11-17; Rom 1:1-17; 15:14-21) addresses fundamental theological terms such as gospel, justice of God, salvation, obedience of faith, among others. The Apostle's missionary option includes a sense of obligation towards the peoples who do not yet know the gospel: What kind of obligation is it? Using the language of worship, Paul presents his ministry as a sacred office: What does it mean to carry out a ministry in a priestly way? What does the offering of the Gentiles consist of? These and other questions are addressed in this study, of which the first part is presented here.
