Resumen

El estudio busca profundizar en el cambio radical de un grupo de gentiles
tesalonicenses hacia el servicio a Dios Padre y la esperanza en el Señor Jesucristo
atestiguado en el primer escrito cristiano. Se rastrea, en la sección 1 Tes
1,1-10, la evidencia de las convenciones sociorretóricas formuladas por Z. Crook
para reconceptualizar la conversión en el mundo antiguo desde el sistema de patronazgo/
beneficencia y lealtad registradas en fuentes grecorromanas, judías y
cristianas.
