El artículo ofrece un sumario de los cambios que experimentó la interpretación de la teología paulina, sobre todo a partir del surgimiento de la «nueva perspectiva». En una segunda instancia, el autor estudia los diferentes significados de la palabra «gracia» en el judaísmo del Segundo Templo, para situar dentro de ese contexto la comprensión que Pablo puede haber tenido de la misma. Finalmente, se propone una comprensión de la gracia en la carta a los Gálatas como noción clave en la configuración de la soteriología paulina.
