¿Uno o dos Evangelios?

Si tuviéramos solo las cartas paulinas, no sabríamos mucho de Jesús y pensaríamos que “el evangelio”, la buena noticia, era que la salvación se obtiene por la fe puesta en Jesucristo, Mesías y Señor, por tanto, asequible a todos por igual. El objeto de la fe, para Pablo, es Jesucristo, y, de él, su muerte sacrificial en la cruz. Lo confesamos: “Jesucristo murió para salvarnos; somos redimidos por su sangre”. Por otro lado, Marcos presenta como “el evangelio” la vida “misionera” de Jesús, el profeta del Reino de Dios. La salvación resultaría de la aceptación de la propuesta de Jesús de hacer realidad el reinado de Dios en este mundo. Mientras que para Pablo la cruz es una suerte de rito sacrificial de expiación, para Marcos fue consecuencia de su predicación del Reino por sus implicaciones socio-políticas. ¿Son complementarias, contrapuestas, correlativas? Pero ambas forman parte del canon del Nuevo Testamento... Es lo que este artículo explora.
