Abstract

The tributes must be done in life. Those of us who participate in this issue wanted to do it, but Armando left us before. He was aware that we were preparing this work in recognition of his career, and he would have received with the humility with which he received other tributes, although not many, unfortunately. But death surprised him before these pages that we are presenting saw the light. It seems appropriate to dedicate a special tribute volume of the Biblical Review, since our honoree directed and hierarchized with his studies during many years this publication. And, since the contributions received for this purpose were
so many more than would fit even in an annual volume, we offer them exceptionally in a double volume, corresponding to the years 2015-2016 of Review.
