Abstract

The book is rich in bibliography of ancient sources dating from the second century A.D. to the third century A.D. (Old and New Testament Apocrypha, Philo of Alexandria, Flavius Josephus, Church Fathers, Gnostic texts, Qumran literature, Samaritan theology, rabbinical literature and Targums) and attempts to unravel the mystery of the encounter between the human and the divine.
