Abstract

The reception of the so-called Catholic Letters in the life of the Church has been marked by the diversity of readings through which they have been approached throughout history. Theology, as a reflection made from the community that receives revelation by faith (auditus fidei), has not been alien to the plurality of these processes. Moreover, we could risk thinking that on some occasions it has been the dogmatic or moral perspective that has determined the reading of these texts.
