Abstract

The fact that the formulation of a question is simple does not mean that the answer is also simple. This is the case with the question that Bible readers of all generations are faced with sooner or later: how should Scripture be read? What are the things that should be kept in mind when approaching a text written in distant historical and cultural contexts, but at the same time considered sacred and interpreted as such throughout the centuries up to the present day?
