The contributions made by the critical-historical method in biblical studies
during the last decades have allowed innovative debates and perspectives to
emerge. The debate about Paul is still open. Old perspectives are re-read and discussed
from new perspectives: the debate between faith and the works of the Law,
Paul’s mysticism, soteriology, its relationship with Judaism, Pauline Christology.
Paul continues to speak to modern women and man from new perspectives: cultural studies, postcolonial studies, imperial criticism, and the perspective of gender and intersectionality
