Abstract

The paper studies the topics of messianic silence and the problematic
relationships of Jesus in the Gospel of Mark, trying to explain their theological, contextual and literary reasons. The study seeks to resume and expand the explanatory proposals on the misunderstanding of discipleship. Besides, it wants to evaluate the reading horizon proposed by Elsa Tamez, of Latin American hermeneutics, who seeks to understand these reasons in light of the experiences raised by the
conflict in Colombia. Based on this understanding provided by the current context, as a dialogic response to the interpretative arc, there are suggested some challenges of the Gospel to Colombian reality.
