The reading of the Gospel of Matthew is a quarry for those who know a little about the Old Testament. It is true that the entire New Testament offers a re-reading of the Old. However, in Matthew's Gospel the phenomenon is more systematic and, one would say today, more scientific. It is immediately understood that the author of the first Gospel follows a very precise plan in the composition of his work and makes the Old and New Testaments unceasingly dialogue, as in the counterpoint of the ancient music. The study shows some examples of this dialogue.
