The Studium Biblicum Franciscanum (SBF) of Jerusalem, which has been publishing the Liber Annuus without interruption since 1951, has edited the one for 2006, which, like the last ones, has been the responsibility of Eugene Alliata. In this issue we offer twenty-three articles whose authors are personalities from the SBF itself and from other important centers of study.

As in previous years, the Liber Annuus testifies to the ever increasing vitality of the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum in Jerusalem and its constant openness to inter-disciplinary dialogue with other institutions.
