As Christian tradition has always understood it, the novelty of Jesus in the first (and last) place is himself. Our study aims to analyse this novelty as it is offered and realised in his parables, concentrating on the image of God that is manifested in them as the core of the good news. We assume from the beginning that form (parable) and content (novelty in the image of God) constitute an inseparable unity together with the narrator Jesus. Here we are interested in the process of his communication.
