A “História Deuteronomista” oitenta anos depois

Volvidos oitenta anos da publicação da obra Überlieferungsgeschichtliche
Studien do exegeta alemão Martin Noth, a hipótese da “História Deuteronomista”
continua a alimentar a discussão acerca da redação dos livros históricos (Josué–2º
Reis). Nesta contribuição, propõe-se um itinerário através da história da receção
da tese nothiana, em particular nos últimos trinta anos. Tomando-se como ponto
de partida e foco as três intuições fundamentais de Noth a respeito da unidade,
extensão e propósito da obra historiográfica “Deuteronomista”, mostra-se que a
hipótese formulada nos anos quarenta do século passado ainda empresta o nome,
mas já não constitui nem o ponto de partida nem o horizonte teórico da investigação
hodierna.
